Paul writes this joyful letter from prison, expressing gratitude for the Philippians’ partnership in the gospel. He affirms his confidence that God, who began a good work in them, will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ. This assurance fills believers with hope and confidence in God’s faithfulness. Despite his chains, Paul declares that the gospel continues to advance. He proclaims, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” His life reflects complete surrender to Christ, demonstrating that true joy and purpose are found in Him alone.
