Devotional

Paul recounts the many hardships he endured for the sake of the gospel, including persecution, danger, and suffering. These trials reveal both the cost of following Christ and Paul's steadfast commitment to the ministry God had entrusted to him.

Rather than boasting in his achievements, Paul boasts in his weaknesses, showing that true spiritual strength is found in dependence on God. When we acknowledge our weakness, God's strength is made visible through our lives.

Reflection

When I face hardship, what helps me remain faithful to Christ?

In what areas of weakness have I experienced God's strength in my life?

Prayer

Lord,
in my weakness, reveal Your power.
Help me remain faithful in every trial.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
