Devotional

Paul recounts the extraordinary revelations he received from the Lord but chooses not to boast in them. Instead, he speaks of a “thorn in the flesh” given to keep him humble. Though he pleaded for its removal, God replied, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” This becomes one of the defining messages of the letter.

Rather than resisting his weakness, Paul embraces it, recognizing that dependence on God allows His strength to be displayed more fully. His testimony reminds believers that true spiritual strength is not found in self-sufficiency, but in trusting God's sustaining grace.

Reflection

What weaknesses in my life are leading me to depend more deeply on God's grace?

How have I experienced God's grace sustaining me through difficult seasons?

Prayer

Lord,
Your grace is sufficient for me.
Help me trust in Your strength when I am weak.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
